October 2, Chinon.
Here is a letter from your son about...the election.
When last we talked about this I detected symptoms of anti-Bushism. The propaganda peddled by the old-guard media dominates the milieus in which we live. France is even worse than New York and Ithaca; here it is assumed by almost everybody that Bush is a dangerous maniac.
I who, unless something untoward occurs, must probably continue to exist in this world for another 25 years, regard the present election as the most important of my lifetime. If Kerry becomes president the single rampart against Islamo-fascist menace will be removed. The consequences would be as grave as possible, not only in Europe, but for the USA.
If you do not realize it already, eventually all but the willfully blind and irresponsibly uninformed can fail to see what al Caida and co. is all about.
These same people were allied to Hitler in WW2. With the so called
'Palestinian people' as a weapons of mass destruction they have been trying to apply the final solution to the Jews in Israel since before 1945.
This is only the most obvious aspect of something the Left and their media refuse to see. The Islamists have never abandoned their ambition to dominate the world which began with Mohammed himself in the dark ages. It is known, to anyone who wants to know it, that Saddam's wars on Iran and Kuwait were parts of a
strategy to reinstate the Caliphate, indispensable first step to resuming their war of world domination. Quadafi's local aggressions were based on the same logic.
I remember pro-Palestinian's in the 1980s talking about both
Saddam and Quadafi in these terms on WBAI. But don't take it from me. See for example: http://www.danielpipes.org/
Something else that anyone can know who cares to know it: Islam is no
religion of 'tolerance and peace'. It is a tool of enslavement. The Koran is a mess. The 'Islamic' philosophers and scientists of the middle ages were all Jews and Christians, and none of them were Arabs.
The peoples of allareas of the earth where Islam holds sway, live today, in the 21st century, as they did in the middle ages. Europe, meanwhile, is abandoning Western civilization, with its characteristic arts and social norms (like monogamy),in favor of a multi-culturalism which has already favored the spread of the
Shari'a in the heart of what used to be the core of the Western world.
Incredible as it may seem Imams are setting standards in European
communities wherever they can leverage a cultural majority through
intimidation or violence. Jews are abandoning France for Israel. There is a radio station in Paris financed by adds for an international moving company which: 'makes your aylia easy'. Last time I was in Paris I listened to it with incredulous fascination.
As for Kerry, he is the worst presidential candidate I have even seen or heard of. I watched the first Kerry-Bush debate in horror. No wonder Bush was off his stride; who would have thought that anyone could dare be so shameless! It made me physically sick. Such a degree of fatuous opportunistism seems unbelievable.
I would call him a 'compulsive liar' if he were not self-involved to the point where standards like honesty loses any usefulness as a measure of a man! What Kerry would do as president is clear; whatever looked like the popular thing.
In Korea he might lob in a nuke if he thought it would play-and it would if they lobbed one at us,which they will if we don't stay tough, which he won't if that doesn't play in France, which it won't. Kerry is indifferent to the liberty and happiness of people-the Iraqis in particular. If he really wants to earn the approval of Chirac he has only one choice: pull out. Chirac and his Mafioso were
making such fabulous hay out of 'oil for food' that the like has never been seen in the history of crooked dealing. France is in the grip of a vast, highly organized system of corruption. The dream of the corrupt French oligarchs is restoration of the Baath party so the cash-flow can resume.
It seems incredible. A few years ago I could not have believed it. But I can no longer deny the evidence in front of my eyes-however much my non-cynicalnature rebels.
Here in Chinon we have some nice friends. They run a mid-sized financial firm. They are as dynamic, charming and cultivated a couple as you could dream of. One day Marie-Francoise announced that the world's problems are the fault of 'New York Jewish bankers'. I will not believe that Jacques also has such an opinion until I hear him produce it, but I tremble at the thought. When push comes to shove the Marie-Francoises of this world are all set to join the Caliphate in its extermination of Israel, followed by a program of European Islamization one of the early step of which will be the burning of the Louvre and the Paris Opera (too many naked women and such).
Of all the American presidents of my lifetime, Bush is, by a great margin,my favorite. The slander they heap on him is disgusting. The guy graduated from Yale and Harvard after all! I _do_ like him personally but the important thing is this; he is a man of heart and conviction.
Why didn't senator Kerry do something in the senate like Bush's excellent proposition for the illegal immigrants? But, above all, I admire his inflexible confidence in liberty and his personal courage in the face of the most rabid domestic and international opposition I can remember. They were worked up about Nixon and Reagan but this is ridiculous!
The link between the cold war and what is going on now with al Caida is not understood. The common thread in anti-westernism. I won't go into details but I will say this: either the anti-western attitude will prevail and the West will collapse from the inside, and then, assuming we are allowed to keep our heads, we will be put in head scarves and turbans; or the West will recover the sense of itself, including its fundamental Christian identity, and impose liberty on those areas of the globe currently enslaved by Islam.
Such a program was not an absolute necessity 20 years ago. In the world of today the jehadist might get ahold of a nuclear bomb. This cannot be allowed to happen because they will use it without hesitation or delay. First Israel, then America. It might mean we have to run wars in more places than Afghanistan and Iraq. We need a president who understands the problem, who will pursue the matter untiringly, and who has the mettle to do unpopular things.
With regard to the Christian element of this: please do not forget that Bach, Mozart and Beethoven, as well as Titian, Fragonard and Corot, were all devout Christians. And now that Christianity has been pushed asside, look at what has happened to art! Western art is a fruit of that human liberty which has only ever really flourished in the Jewish or Christian atmosphere. There are theological reasons for this, which I won't go into, except to mention this: God created the animals, and Adam, and allowed Adam to name the animals. Adam not only participated in the creation, he was radically free;free enough to reject God-which he promptly did. There is nothing like this in any other culture, and certainly not in Islam.
If Kerry wins the election we won't be murdered by hordes of yelping
assassins in the first five minutes, but the prospect of a Kerry mandate, at
this point in world history, allarms me.
Love, your son, Paul Rhoads
